What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check in time is from 2pm for all accommodation and campsites and check out (for all) is by 10am . Please do not ask for early check in or late check out during our very busy peak season as we will be busy keeping things clean and tidy for the arrival of our guests.
Is there a deposit required to secure a booking?
Full payment is required at the time of booking. For bookings outside of peak season or peak periods a minimum of 50% can be charged at management's discretion to secure a reservation 3 months prior to the arrival date. Please refer to our booking system for relevant information.
Is there onsite parking available?
Yes, we have free onsite parking available for our guests. You can park your car close to your cabin or tent site, so you don't have to worry about carrying your luggage too far. We do recommend that you lock your car and keep your valuables out of sight.
What are the accepted payment methods?
We accept payment by credit card (Visa, Mastercard) or bank transfer. If you choose to pay by bank transfer, please ensure that you include your booking reference number and the name under which the booking was made. If you have any questions about payment options, please contact us.
What are your rates?
The rates vary according to the cabin or site you are booking. Please refer to our booking system for current information on our rates.
Is there mobile phone coverage at Wharekawa Lodge?
Yes, there is mobile phone coverage at Wharekawa Lodge, but it can be patchy in some areas due to the location. We recommend that you check with your mobile phone provider to see if you will have coverage in the area.
What is the cancellation policy?
We understand that plans can change, which is why we have a flexible cancellation policy. If you need to cancel your booking, please let us know as soon as possible. We require 14 days' notice for cancellations. Cancellations made within 14 days of the arrival date will be charged a cancellation fee equivalent to one night's stay. If you fail to show up for your booking without giving us notice, you will be charged the full amount of your booking. If you have any questions about our cancellation policy, please contact us.
Is there a minimum booking requirement?
There is a minimum 2 night stay during the very peak seasons (the peak seasons are shown here.
Is linen provided?
A mattress protector and fitted sheet is provided. Guests must bring their own pillow and bedding.
Are pets allowed?
Sorry, you and your visitors cannot bring animals into Wharekawa Lodge at any time (except service dogs).
